Painter Jessica Pearless develops block colored geometric shapes into her own design-influenced visual language. Each piece is related though either form, composition or through tonal similarities. Her graphic acrylic pieces playing on notions of taste and interior design.
Jessica Pearless is a prolific artist, having held numerous solo shows since her graduation and participating in group exhibitions throughout New Zealand and internationally. These include her role in the production of Khromatik, a collaborative site specific installation in central Hong Kong and more recent installation work at the 2008 Bridge Art Fair in Berlin, New Zealand Fashion Week 2011 and Urbis DesignDay 2012. Jessica Pearless has completed site-specific installations for numerous clients and her work is held in public collections in New Zealand and Hong Kong and in private collections in Australasia, Asia and Europe. In 2010 Pearless was nominated as a finalist in the Wallace Art Awards and the Waiheke Art Awards and in 2011 she was awarded the inaugural Artists Alliance Residency.
