DINA VARPAHOVSKY

Dina Varpahovsky's paintings toy with the flat surface of the canvas. Her original artworks constructing psychological spaces inspired by, what Dina calls “screen memories” - a memory characterised by the inconsistency between its apparently trivial content and the vividness and power with which it persists. This Freudian concept underpins all of Dina Varpahovsky’s works and has meant Dina’s work has been part of much critical discussion and has been favourably reviewed in a variety of British Press including Dazed & Confused Magazine and Heart Home. Nominated for The Bloomberg New Contemporaries, also collected and exhibited across widely London, Dina Varpahovsky’s work is as intellectually stimulating as it is aesthetically pleasing.
