London Based Iulia Filipovscaia uses photographs and aspects of collage to capture different engaging elements of the natural world. With a global outlook taking in travels throughout Europe, Africa and Asia, her work explores our relation to nature and its resources, as well as human obsessions with myth, mysticism and primitivism. Her role as a fashion designer also plays into her photography.

Iulia Filipovscaia graduated from Central Saint Martins with a Fine Arts degree in 2007 and received her MA in Media and Communication from Goldsmiths College in 2009. Her work has been shortlisted for Salon Photo Prize 2011, Matt Robert's Arts and she has exhibited at 176 Gallery/ Zabludowicz Collection for Testing Ground:Live at 176 (2009). Filipovscaia was chosen to present her work at The Photographers Gallery for Folio Forum (2010) and at Members Photo Forum, Photofusion (2010) and had a recent solo exhibition in the Apiary Gallery, London.
