JAMES DAWE

James Dawe is an artist and commercial illustrator based in London. His contemporary take on classical subject matters can be relied upon to throw up the unexpected. James Dawe's ability to explore various levels of consciousness in his work often results in dramatic imagery, helped by a few happy 'accidents' along the way. In his recent series he transforms still life images -  reminiscent of master paintings from the Dutch Golden age - into vibrant, contemporary art works using subtle digital manipulation techniques.

James Dawe has been exhibited at Selfridges Museum of Small Things, Rook and Raven Gallery, Soho: Terry O’neill Reworked & Interface shows and at T.E.A.M at Kemirsty Gallery. Alongside this James Dawe has worked for and collaborated with a broad array of companies including; The Guardian, M&C Saatchi, Bloomsbury Publishing, Mercury record label, Dazed & Confused, Vice, and Wallpaper* Magazine.
