MARK BRADLEY-SHOUP

In his paintings Mark Bradley-Shoup represents recognizable structures and elements in a highly abstracted manner. Fascinated by the everyday, even the mundane, Bradley-Shoup uses deceivingly simple shapes and muted color planes with structured compositions to create captivating paintings of contempoary America.

Since graduating with an MFA in Studio art from the University of Northern California Bradley-Shoup has exhibited extensively across the USA, including the Whitney Gallery, LA, Barker Hanger Gallery, California, David Lusk Gallery, Nashville, Knoxville Museum of Art, Tennessee, and Tanner Hill Gallery, Chattanooga. His paintings have featured in a number of publications such as New American Paintings, Backwards city Review, and the New Orleans Gambit weekly.
